RE/MAX & Cell Phones for Soldiers

Earth Day was a good day at RE/MAX Classic. April 22nd marked Earth Day 2011. This year, we saw an enormous outpouring of support for the environmental movement and our showed our patriotism at Classic evidenced by our ongoing efforts to support the Cell Phones for Soldiers program. We helped saved our landfills, recycled and provided our troops with 422 hours of talk time! Thus far, since our endeavor to support our troops began in June of 2008, we’ve collected 9,968 cell phones and hundreds of boxes of accessories that are recycled in to $$$ for phone cards for our troops.

Each phone donated is worth an hour of talk time to our troops. Phones are also provided for the use of troops deploying to call their families and loved ones and for use in their transition in travel to keep in touch.

We’re proud to say “We’re red, white, blue and green” at RE/MAX Classic. Know of someone in need of a calling card for a troop stationed overseas or in the states? Give us a call any time and we’ll be happy to provide them with one.
